Glacier Web Works Instruction Movies

Instructional movies can be produced in a variety of file types using different codecs to encode the video and audio portions. Some movie types are better for certain purposes than others. Once I know your computer system information and method of delivery I can choose an appropriate combination. Movie files with video and sound can be large and are probably better suited for delivery over a high bandwidth connection or delivered on CDROM.

Movies can be converted to Flash or used as part of a Flash movie, usually with a much smaller file size. You can view either of the two Flash movies I converted from digital video. One is a deer movie and the other a movie on the mountain peaks around St.Mary Lake in Glacier Park.

The sample AVI movie I have for you to view from this link is an executable file that bundles the player, needed codec, and AVI file into one package. I did this to be sure you had the correct codec without having to go to the WWW to download it. Simply download the executable file to your hard drive, click, and play. The sample is one of 4 clips produced to help a client learn about forms and adding text to html. Go here to see the actual web site form ( Delos Toole's Book web site) that was the basis of these instructions.
